Before becoming a lawyer, I taught creative writing and stage performance techniques for over ten years. I worked primarily with young people and adults in situations steeped in trauma- jails, foster care centers, high needs schools and harm reduction spaces.

I’m currently facilitating sessions on a variety of topics including how to use literary techniques in affidavit writing, how to bring trauma-informed practice to client interviews, and the basics of asylum application. Below are links to descriptions of my classes.

I also give  “Know Your Rights” presentations on immigration issues and employment issues facing freelancers. Feel free to reach out to learn more about my classes and schedule.
